Responders to Warmth (R2W) eligibility criteria:
The adult or child must suffer with a chronic, acute or severe health difficulty, illness, disability or be at risk from cold conditions.
*Please note: We have now extended access to R2W to certain people or groupings who are not suffering ill health,but that still meet the income and savings caps. See our sub categories for details.
Households must have no more than a maximum and combined income of £23,500
Have no more than a maximum combined savings, including bonds, of £13,000
Be able to show professionally validated illness or disability in the form of a Responders to Warmth completed application form, GP’s contact letter, or other professional worker’s written confirmation of cold related health need.*
Accept the scheme’s terms and conditions that all financial resources allocated to a given person or persons, relative to their material benefit, will be recovered, including legal and administrative costs, if false statements are found to be made of income, savings or validation of health need.
The person receiving the support lives in the County of Lincolnshire, excluding the local authority areas of North and North East Lincolnshire.
That the support offered is for the client or their children, living in their sole residence.
Rented accommodation is excluded from fixed heating and hot water repair, adaptation, installation or replacement.
Occupants, to receive heating replacement or adaptation, must have lived in the premises for more than two years and be the legal owner of the said property. Dwellings currently for sale on the open market will not be offered fixed heating or hot water replacement.
